Roy Whiteman
Author of The House at Goodwater and organizer of Save the Whiteman Home.
Roy is documenting the story of his great-grandfather, William Jourdan “W. J.” Whiteman, and the generations connected to the family home in Goodwater, McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
After about a year making the house ready to live in, Roy moved back in November 2025. Kristian Wayne Whiteman has been helping with restoration. Their goal is to keep the home and its history connected to future generations.
